Search Limiter & Blocker is a plugin that limits the number and frequency of searches byWordPress Plugin. Previously, Naiba sharedSearch Meter – A Plugin to Record WordPress Website User Search History, from the search results, sometimes robot searches are encountered.
For websites with poor server performance, if someone frantically uses the search function, the website stability will also be affected. So when necessary, you can limit the number and frequency of user searches.
Search Limiter & Blocker determines by IP address. You can set how many times the same IP address can search within a certain time, and the search prompt content after exceeding the limit. As shown below:
Enter the limit count in Search Limit (Count), enter the limit time in Block Time (in seconds), and enter the prompt message after exceeding the limit in Message for blocked visitor.
Search Limiter & Blocker is a very small plugin, only a single PHP file, so there is no need to worry about performance issues. You can also directly add the plugin code to the theme functions file to achieve a plugin-free function (Naiba can't).
