New Local Tools Page
Added three browser-based local tools in the resource navigation: Image to WebP, HTML/Markdown bidirectional conversion, and HTML visual editor. Also reorganized the display of resource links on the navigation page.
Site Record / Timeline
This page records the changes of Naibabiji from life records, WordPress tinkering, Google SEO shift, to the launch of tools and services. Many records are colloquial, but they are real records of redesigns and pitfalls.
Due to browser security restrictions, the webpage cannot directly add bookmarks for you. You can manually bookmark the current page using the following methods:

From paid website building to website building coaching, then to AI tools, multilingual, and WP Panel, this period is more about organizing years of website building experience into tools and services.
Added three browser-based local tools in the resource navigation: Image to WebP, HTML/Markdown bidirectional conversion, and HTML visual editor. Also reorganized the display of resource links on the navigation page.
With the help of AI, thoroughly cleaned up the online site, recreated a manual-style new theme, and redesigned the topic page layout of the previous version. The new theme is lighter and provides a better reading experience for users.
Customized an AI website building assistant for the site to help beginners get started quickly.
Wrote an AI translation plugin myself and integrated DeepSeek for automatic translation.
The original server is about to expire, so I purchased a new one and enabled Tencent's free EdgeOne service.
Transitioned from the previous paid website building service to the Website Building Coaching service.
Replaced with a self-written theme, reducing the use of multiple plugins.
A year has passed without doing much, so I redesigned the homepage at the end of the year.
This section shows that the website has been doing subtraction: removing plugins, switching SEO plugins, adjusting AMP, migrating servers, and some features have been added and then removed.
Removed WooCommerce, paid reading, and password creation plugins.
AMP is quite troublesome; switched to responsive design directly.
Switched from The SEO Framework to Slim SEO.
Switched from Rank Math SEO to The SEO Framework.
Set up a store to sell genuine resources.
Removed the translation plugin.
The server was attacked and is about to expire, so I repurchased a server and migrated.
Deleted 19 early articles and added plugin translations for Traditional Chinese / English.
Redesigned the website homepage and footer.
Replaced with a new AMP plugin.
Replaced with a new TOC+ plugin.
Felt that AMP user experience was not good, so deleted the AMP plugin.
The new version of Astra supports directly enabling related posts, so I turned it on. I've been lazy for the past six months and haven't paid much attention to the site, but traffic and rankings are still stable.
Around 2020, the site began to shift more clearly towards Google SEO, foreign trade website building, and WordPress theme and plugin content.
I've been busy these past few months and haven't had time to update the blog. Several new foreign trade website building sites have emerged, ranking 16th, and overall site traffic has doubled compared to last year.
Before the modification, the foreign trade website building ranking hovered between 8-11.
Add WooCommerce to share WordPress themes.
The website building Q&A feature wasn't used much and didn't generate traffic, so it was deleted.
Changed „SOHO Foreign Trade Website Building Tutorial, 2020 Independent Site Setup Teaching“ to „SOHO Foreign Trade Website Building Tutorial, Professional WordPress Foreign Trade Website Building.“
Some overseas users reported that the website couldn't be opened, so I added an overseas CDN.
Redesigned the navigation mega menu.
Redesigned the homepage content of the website, foreign trade website building ranking 14.
Deleted the VPS discount information category and its articles.
Reported for personal commercial activity, deleted the website hosting page (was planning to transfer to company business anyway, forced to do it earlier).
Deleted the Slider Revolution category and its articles.
Google search results showed sub-links.
Added a Q&A center.
Starting from the 7th, I researched Google's mobile-friendly failure issue, encountered a database cache plugin conflict, recovered on the 8th, found that the restored data had bugs in the evening, restored again, and finally fixed it at 2:40 AM on the 9th. Damn.
Re-enabled the sidebar on the website, and following Jack's advice, added recommended articles at the end of articles.
Changed the previously pinyin-based category directory to English, goodbye Baidu.
The previous topic plugin had a bug under the Astra theme, so I switched to another one. Also changed the topic URL, did a 301 redirect, modified part of the website subtitle's second part, and reorganized the description content.
To get familiar with the Astra theme, I switched my own website to it. During the process, I also tested WooCommerce, but it was too slow on the domestic server, so I eventually uninstalled it. This kind of advanced theme is not as convenient to customize as ordinary themes, but it's convenient for beginners.
Re-modified the titles and descriptions of several articles on the homepage. Previously written according to Baidu SEO rules, now changed to Google's. Will check the ranking effect after some time.
Added the Google SEO category, returning to Google optimization. Baidu is too crappy.
In 2019, I basically kept changing themes, modifying title descriptions, switching servers, testing CDNs, and adjusting SEO plugins. It looks a bit messy now, but it's precisely these records that constitute the true history of this site.
Rebuilt a homepage based on the current theme. Will modify several more pages in the coming days, but won't record them. Theme modifications have slowed down article updates these days.
Changed to "Foreign Trade SOHO Self-built Website Tutorial_Steps to Build a Website Without Coding". Originally planned to change the theme, but after local debugging, I found many incompatibilities when uploading because of some plugins and code used before. The change failed.
Replaced the breadcrumb code with a dedicated plugin to add structured data.
Added subcategories for WP plugins and themes, deleted the WP theme topic, wrote TDK for all categories. Didn't plan categories well initially, now there are legacy issues, hard to handle.
Big Bird said his website access was very slow; tests showed Baidu Cloud Acceleration nodes were unstable, so they were removed.
Modified the order of the homepage title, moving the website name to the front and the description to the back.
Switched to the free Rank Math SEO plugin, blocked tag indexing, and installed a topic plugin.
Wanted to write a simple optimization tip, but ended up optimizing the entire website again, removed Google ads from the site. IP has been fluctuating around 600 these days.
Completely disabled the RSS subscription feature.
The table of contents navigation in articles has been changed from a code version to a plugin, making it more user-friendly. Added breadcrumb navigation for articles.
Modified the website title and description again. Also changed the description at the LOGO and the footer links.
Changed cache from Memcached to Redis because online sources say Redis is better.
Changed the permalink structure and the description content on the website homepage.
Replaced the SEO plugin with Yoast SEO.
Added a VPS deals category and created a custom template for it.
Deleted all comments and disabled the article comment feature on the website.
Baidu CDN now supports SSL on the free plan, so I enabled it.
Added a CMS content navigation section on the homepage.
Changed from Naibabiji's Notes to Naibabiji Website Building Notes.
Modified the website title and description.
Found a site bgwkf that is reverse proxying this site.
After just a week, I got itchy and changed the theme again. This time I switched to a customized version based on Twenty Twelve. Although frequently changing the website theme template is bad for SEO, I just can't resist tinkering.
After going around in circles, I'm back to the default theme.
Changed the website subtitle to „Record WordPress website building tutorials and WordPress theme plugin recommendations.“ Originally planned to write „share,“ but after several modifications, the SEO plugin didn„t change it. Could it be that it doesn“t allow it?
The theme was changed from the default theme to a paid theme, which allows page generation via plugins, but the code is quite messy.
Upgraded the server from Tencent Cloud 1G1H1M to 2G4H5M.
Added this timeline page to see how long this blog can keep going.
Added Google Analytics code. Haven't removed Baidu yet; I'll compare both to see which is better. I believe Google is. Installed an AMP plugin, and Baidu now supports AMP page crawling.
Because the new mini program code cannot link to page URLs, I deleted the website building and VPS pages and republished them as articles, then submitted the updated mini program for review.
Modified the aliases for "Record Life" and "Record Work." Originally wanted to remove the category URL, but testing showed it fails with subcategories, so I gave up. Changed the two main category aliases to English for brevity.
Originally had Tencent CDN with only 10GB traffic per month. Upyun offers 15GB per month, so I moved images to Upyun to save traffic and achieve static-dynamic separation.
Most records of the kid went to WeChat Moments and phone albums; text records weren't vivid enough. Parenting experiences lose appeal for writing unless it's a dedicated parenting site, and the initial enthusiasm faded. Since my old blog from years ago is gone, I'll settle on this domain.
The child is half a year old; registered this domain, planning to set up a blog to record things for her.
