Recently, due to the instability of Chrome's bookmark sync feature, Naiba switched to using Firefox. During this process, he came across the Brave browser and has been using it as his main browser. However, Brave still has some minor bugs, such as Google Translate not working. As for myself,
indirectly resolvepasswords cannot be synchronized. I solved this using Keepass, but for compatibility issues with some websites, Naiba is powerless.
. For example, Baidu Analytics repeatedly returns to the login page and cannot access the statistical details.(I found Chrome does this too, probably due to login cookie conflicts among my several Baidu accounts.) So, I'm considering making Chrome my main browser again (I dare not use Firefox on my Macbook at all; it's too resource-intensive.). Therefore, I need to find a stable
Cross-browser Bookmark Synchronizationsolution. Online, many people recommend using the EverSync plugin. However, having heard about Xmarks' fate, I'm not very confident in such third-party sync services. I wanted to find a synchronization solution where I could control my own data, and that's how I found this open-source tool, floccus.
Floccus supports bookmark synchronization between Firefox and Chrome browsers.
Introduction to floccus
Floccus is an open-source, cross-browser bookmark synchronization solution using Nextcloud, WebDAV, or local files (or any synchronized file). It currently supports Firefox and Chrome browsers (and other browsers capable of installing Chrome extensions). On mobile, it currently supports Kiwi Browser. Open-source address:

Floccus supports WebDAV, Nextcloud Bookmarks, and local file/cloud drive synchronization. Naiba here uses the WebDAV solution, paired with Nutstore, as previously
KeePass synchronization also utilized Nutstore's WebDAV.. For Nextcloud, this is even more powerful. Friends who have set up their own Nextcloud service can choose this option. Local file network disk synchronization requires additional software installation, so it is recommended to use the WebDAV synchronization method.
Preparation on Nutstore
Create a folder in the root directory of the synchronization folder, choose not to sync to local by default (you can sync if you want), the name can be arbitrary. Here at Naibabiji, it's floccus.

Then upload a bookmarks.xbel file to the newly created folder. If you don't have one,
click here to download. Then, in Nutstore„s “Account Info„ -> “Security Options„ -> “Third-party App Management„, create a WebDAV application and obtain the password.
Floccus Plugin Installation and Setup
Chrome Extension Address(Offline Address),
Firefox Extension AddressAfter installing the Floccus plugin, click the icon, then select XBEL in WebDAV, and then click Add Account.

Fill in the WebDAV server information according to the details provided by Nutstore. For the Bookmarks file path, enter the „folder/bookmarks.xbel“ you just created.

For the bookmark directory, simply select the root directory. If creating a new one, it will create a new synchronized bookmark folder based on your current browser bookmarks.

After configuration, click sync once, and it will first sync all your browser bookmarks to Nutstore. Then, when you sync on another browser, it will merge Nutstore's bookmarks with your local ones. You can set it to re-import in the settings, but it's recommended to clear bookmarks in a new browser and then sync directly.

Open-source Password Synchronization Solution
Got bookmark sync sorted? You might also want to try open-source password synchronization. KeePass is an open-source password manager where users can use master passwords, key files, or Windows user accounts as keys. The software encrypts the password database using the 256-bit AES algorithm. Users can also set the number of times the key is encrypted, increasing this value to make it harder to guess. All KeePass data is kept in your own hands (you can upload it to various cloud drives for backup), and the client is fully cross-platform compatible. Additionally, KeePass supports a plugin architecture, allowing plugins to enhance various parts of the software. If you're interested, you can refer to the article below.

Not sure if you've used the new version of the Edge browser, produced by Microsoft. It allows seamless synchronization directly on both computers and mobile phones, and the speed even feels a bit faster than Chrome. However, the extensions are still limited, but you can install Chrome extensions with a couple of extra steps. If you find Chrome synchronization troublesome, you might consider this.
