How to Disable the New WordPress Gutenberg EditorWhat can AddQuicktag do for you?
What can AddQuicktag do for you? Simply put, it helps you
improve the efficiency of writing and composing articles. For example, with the code for inserting a button in a WP post shared yesterday, if you want to insert a button yourself, you need to switch to text mode and manually input or copy-paste the code. With AddQuicktag, you just need to click a button to insert it, as shown in the image below:

After inserting the code this way, you just modify the link address. When the article is published, a styled download button will be displayed on the front end, saving a lot of time. With AddQuicktag, inserting internal link addresses when writing articles becomes very convenient. For example, when writing an article about
WordPress Themes, clicking a button inserts both the WordPress theme and the link, which is much faster than typing.
How to use AddQuicktag?
Using AddQuicktag is also very simple. After installing and activating the plugin, click on
Settings-
AddQuicktagin the menu on the left side of the WP admin dashboard to see the interface shown in the image below. In the image, the columns for Button Label, Dashicon, and Title Attribute are for filling in the button name, icon, and title attribute respectively. Usually, only a title needs to be filled. The Start Tag(s)* and End Tag(s) column is for entering the opening and closing tags of your code. You can write them separately or directly in one field. Other fields generally don't need to be filled unless specifically required. Just check the boxes for Visual, post, and page at the back, and then you'll see the added button when writing articles.

When writing an article, simply click this Quicktags button to insert the code you added, which is very useful for publishing articles.

For code that needs editing or modification, switch to text mode, insert it, and then edit the code.
