To transfer a domain out of SiteGround, the first step is to unlock the domain.
To do this, please log in to the SiteGround Admin Dashboard, go to „My Accounts„ tab, and then click “Manage„ next to the domain you are interested in. Next to the domain status, there will be a “Change ” link. Change the status to „ Active ”, and allow 24 hours for this change to propagate.
Then go to the domain registrar you want to transfer to, submit the domain transfer request, enter the domain and the transfer code, and they will send you an email. Confirm and wait.
If the email you left when registering the domain is incorrect, you need to change it to your real email first to receive the verification code.This can be done in the „ User Area”, „ My Accounts”, „ Domain name”section, „ Manage”. Click „ Your Domain Administrative Contact Information ” next to „ Change(Change)”.
After modifying the domain, wait a few hours for the domain information to refresh, and then you can submit the transfer-out application.
