After building your own website, how do you submit it to Google? Adding the website to Google Search Console(formerly Google Webmaster Tools). Google Search Console provides webmasters with some tools to help analyze the website, monitor its indexing status, search rankings, etc. Below, we start adding and verifying the website on your own WordPress site. 1. Log in to Google Search Console and click 'Start Now'.

2. After successful login, you will be prompted to add a website; just enter your website URL. Next, it will ask you to add code for verification, as shown in the image below:

This verification code requires you to copy the code and add it to the website's header file. The specific method is:
- In the WP Admin Dashboard, go to Appearance -> Theme Editor -> select the header.php file;
- Paste the code on the line before <\/head>, then save;
- Click to verify.
