What to Do When There's No Homepage Display Option in WordPress Reading Settings?

Normally, WordPress's default homepage displays the latest blog posts. If we want to use WordPress for an official website, the homepage is usually a custom-designed static page. The standard method is to go to WordPress Settings > Reading and select a specific homepage.

However, if you don't see the homepage display option in your site's Reading settings, like in the image below:

Settings, Reading, no homepage option visible

The reason for this issue is that your site's Page section has no available pages.

No published pages

Go to the Pages section in your site's Admin Dashboard to check if no pages have been created yet, or if all created pages are in draft or private status.

Simply modify or create a publicly accessible page, then return to the settings to see the homepage option.

Normal setup for static page as homepage
